Sometimes you just have to get everything out of your system! Picking up the Volvo today, which is great because I'm legitimately having trouble fitting in the Miata.

I've just about maxed out my antique scale. It's funny to see how different weight expectations apparently were 75 years ago

I’ll tell you as a dude in their early 40's it’s 10 times harder to loose a pound than it is to gain one.

Anytime I solely drive my Subaru for a while, I remember how tight of a fit my Miata is once I finally get back into it for a drive. I cant imagine being any larger in height or weight and still being able to fit in the car comfortably.

At least it’s muscle I have fitment issues in Miatas because I’m 6’3” and because I eat when I’m stressed, anxious and depressed so now I’m fat and feel stressed, anxious  and depressed about that too so it’s a cycle I need to try and break but I have other larger mental health concerns that are prioritized.

I guess you’ll have to sell me the miata then ;)

I’m assuming you’ve evolved past normal currency and just barter with motorcycles?

Until my funds recover, I think the Miata will be saved for snow days, and weekend adventures. Plus I still have plenty of parts to install! Eventually I might look into different seats... I’ve only tried like 5 different kinds

D oesn’t everybody? I actually do this WAY more with music gear than vehicles though. Pretty sure I haven’t exchanged money for gear in like 5 years and I have all different gear than I did then.

Every so often, I think about getting back into strength training .... but then I remember that I need to fit in a M iata and go out for a jog instead :p

I’d say my gym usage is definitely an addiction that’s not particularly great for me, but... If I focus 100% on that it keeps the other demons at bay. Fitness allows me to use my unhealthy eating-as-a-coping-mechanism in a somewhat beneficial way. My 2 cents

Understand completely. I’ve gone through so many guitars, amps, pedals, and assorted other instruments on the Craigslist trading game. It’s nice because there’s often an overlap between the music people and the car people!

You'll need strength training to wrestle that S2k in line once it's fully operational

It’s rough. But now that I’m not dailying it things are much more manageable.

I will say though, it's kind of disgusting to have a cheap Volvo that's a million times faster than the race car I've poured countless hours and seemingly endless dollars/parts into haha

Going off of prior experience, i f I ate at a “normal” rate for two weeks I’d drop 15 pounds in that time frame with zero effort. I’m spending every waking minute e ating entire large pizzas, multiple pounds of vegetables, smoothies, protein shakes, multiple chicken breasts , etc. E very day, and even now that I’m not working a labor job, it’s still a fight to gain every pound.

I actually sold the S2k last week. Still haven’t written the post. L ong story short, got it running, it was hateful to drive and the amount of time and money it would take to make it acceptable (to me) was not worth the payoff. Plus my T riumph didn’t FEEL that much slower (even tho it was) and was endlessly more entertaining.

I sold it and went right out to buy that 701.

Haha welcome to my world. The Miata is ridiculously slower than the STi and yet the Miata is still the one I am spending money on go fast parts and tires and racing the hell out of it. Every time I see an STi at the track I am a bit jealous. But at the last one I did see a newer one blow a headgasket (white smoke pouring out of the exhaust) so I didnt feel so bad after that lol.
