So let’s check those used prices shall we?
These are the 3 cheapest ones in the country now
Welp. Looks like I have to wait a minimum of 6 years years to afford one.
Love to get one in that Orange tho

I remember the GS was very highly regarded in its segment for driving dynamics when it came out, reviewers loved it, not just the F either. Who knew that Lexus and Cadillac would make the BMW’s to beat?

My only problem with this thing is not the power (I’d gladly take 400-ish HP as long as the engine is NA), but the fact that it’s ugly as sin.
The front end looks like they were forced to lengthen the car for cooling purposes but had to also maintain the unified alien grille.
The profile is too upright and slab-slided—it doesn’t look sporty, or even interesting .
The rear passenger window kink looks like they couldn’t decide which angle to kink at, so somebody just said “S crew it. B oth of them.”
Unfortunately, the generic rear end is the least annoying part of the car. It could pass for anything from Hyundai to BMW
The previous GS was a much better looking car.

Not even Lexus thinks about that car. They blew it by grossly overpricing it.
Went to a Lexus driving event last fall, and they let us play around with a bunch of their cars - including the LC500, the new LS500, an RC-F, etc etc. But the 3 or so GS-F’s were untouchable.
From what I’ve read, the GS-F was actually the best driver’s car they’ve built (ignoring the LFA of course). It had a few features that the RC and even the LC didn’t get.

LOL Thankfully I am not so anal about the way it looks. Spindle Grille is spindle grill, cant beat em so join em. I’ll overlook it
So I don’t really mind owning one few years from now.

I think it was praised as a well rounded package. I do distinctly remember 3 negatives
* Numb Steering
* slow to react 6 speed transmission
* That cursed mouse-based infotainment system
So in the 2018 GSF Looks like steering is fine in this, 8 speed is good and I frankly don’t care so much for the infotainment as because I’ll just pop in a usb with my music anyway, or connect through BT and never touch the mouse.
All in all, I will overlook the shortcomings and this is going on my list for future car.

I saw one a few weeks ago at Costco. All I could think was that the owner has great taste.

Someone at a neighboring company to mine has a white one, and its a treat to leave work at the same time as him. It just sounds soooo good.

Ill never understand how lexus can survive any horrible German depreciation. It’s quite annoying

Meh. I’ll start caring about Lexus products when I hit 50 years old.
Until then, DGAF.

I just hate the styling. Lexus makes really ugly cars.
Plus, looking on Autotrader for cars under 45k miles, I can get a CTS V for 55k, CTS V-Sport for 35k, an Audi S6 for 40k, & a M5 for 45k.
So I ask, why? That’s without looking at M6s or S7s, which are probably well within this range.

NA V8, Reliability ( I wouldn’t own any of those cars long term) , Interior Quality, fit & finish , Resale value.

The CTS-V’s seem to be quite reliable, overbuilt in fact.
