For starters, I cleaned out my wife’s car maybe four weeks ago, but uhhh, you certainly wouldn’t know it. So away I go again.
Quick vacuum and a wipe down...
Mid-progress spot cleaner.
Liner for a little center console pocket soaked in spilt coffee.
An unfortunately, I had an incident of my own. My dog, a typically great copilot, had a mini-freak-out in the taco when we made a turn. Actually put her paw in my drink, flung it * everywhere* , and left dog-prints in the interior. I blame myself. Oh well, I really needed to clean the interior anyway.
Carnage.
Not too terrible!
I need a real detail vacuum... My 16V dus buster is no match for the hairs and needles threading themselves though the carpet fibers.
At least I tried

Use your house vacuum.

But I don't live in a vacuum

I said house vacuum, not vacuum house. Nice try.

It's probably more split coffee

May not be perfect, but it’s sure better than it was (in both cases)

Top tip with a spot cleaner in car interiors, don’t do the spot, do a panel. Not necessarily the entire seat but say within a stitched area, that way you greatly reduce any ‘rings’ from the cleaner as it dries out.
If you can, invest in a small wet’dry vacuum for the garage (it’ll come in handy for the house too), I’ve a Karcher WD2.2, it’s a wet’dry vacuum a nd the suction on it is immense.

That place would suck to live in.

Sportcross interior is primo condition
except for the sticky
dash and the passenger A-pillar...

What’s wrong with the a-pillar? Mine got sticky dash crap on it and stained my nice tan fabric black :(
![]() 10/28/2018 at 22:43 |
|
That’s exactly what happened to mine. Some schmuck working on my car left it for me.

Yeah. I did that when removing my a pillar cover and was super pissed at myself for that.
Exhaust has some NASTY leaks that are really starting to piss me off so I’m trying to figure out what to do about it. I think all the leaks are contained to the catback so I’m considering buying some $120 ebay crap and hitting it with a hammer until it fits, or making a straight pipe because what videos I’ve seen of IS300s with muffler deletes they’re actually very mild.

Other than some bad paint and a sticky dash, mine is a really good specimen. I have no mechanical problems whatsoever. I also spread my buttcheeks for the 90k service at a Lexus dealer. The car was too nice and expensive to let it become another Tercle project.

My car came with the 90k service done at... 60k. I dunno why but it has the sticker on the valve cover for it so... whatever.

How many miles does it have again?
