Brand new bit. I pressed it into the wood to make a small d imple before drilling... Nice.

If it doesn’t last 4 hours, consult a carpenter!

I’ve tortured the living shit out of the Ryobi drill and it's taken everything in stride. The bits leave something to be desired, though.

Better now than when it’s spring drill speed with your hand nearby to steady it

You boys and your unrealistic expectations...

Facts. Could have chewed up the board pretty good, too.

I’m just Mr Fancy Pants here expecting my drill bits to be hardened.

I actually have the same experience. The drills have been pretty reliable. I untwisted three bits though... drilling through lead and oakum.

Ryobi cordless stuff is actually pretty nice for the
pricepoint, in addition to the drill
my
angle grinder, impact, impact driver, and circular saw all work great. Certainly no Milwaukee but I’m not making a living on my tools so zero complaints on my end.

Same. I like Ryobi stuff. I have their whole range of battery stuff. Perfect for most stuff.

This does not match my experiences, but maybe the newer stuff is better. Or I’ve just seen a lot of duds. Either way, I’m glad it works well for you

I’ve seen a lot (especially the batteries and chargers) let the smoke out, but it’s been a while so maybe their new ‘oneplus’ stuff is better than their old stuff
. All that matters is that it works for what you are trying to do, which it sounds like they do.

That's different. I tend to snap mine. In those small sizes I tend to buy them in packs of 10, either the Sutton or Frost brands.

The stuff they've put out over the last couple of years is pretty darn good!

The good thing is, now you can drill holes at 45 degrees !
