He’s about two weeks early, but healthy as a horse.

My wife called my at 120am (I was down the hall, sleeping on the couch because I was up late watching baseball) and just said ‘hospital’. Apparently her water broke, so we had to call the grandparents, dress the toddler, drop him off with them, and then haul ass over to the hospital.

Thankfully a) the hospital is only ten minutes away, and b) my truck has leather seats.

He looks a lot like our first son, which is great because that kid is gorgeous. He was also born at the same weight, which is cool...they’re basically the same dude.

I wish we had another two weeks to prepare, but what can you do?

That’s actually a thing I didn’t do, the godmother cut the cord on #1 and the doctor did it on this one because c-section. I don’t regret it, I’m a big texture guy and I thought if it were difficult to cut it may make me sick. I’m a wuss like that.

It was quite difficult to cut through and no C-sections. I’d have let them cut it if that were the case and they’d have probably kept me out anyhow.

I was in the room for our C-sections. They hung a sheet up so I couldn’t see. I did not ask, nor did they offer, to let me cut the cord.

The first one weighed over 10 pounds, was breech, and had the cord around his neck. Without the C-section, they both likely would have died.
