Let’s hope.

There were mice (possibly squirrels, voles, or something else) making a bunch of noise in my walls last night. There are some poison traps around, and I haven’t seen any in the apartment, though it sure sounded like one in the kitchen. There was also a snake in the kitchen last week , but I chased him into the garage (sadly he’s too small to eat mice). In any event, exterminator will be back at some point to check things out.
Ah, Fall, the season when everything tries to escape the cold by invading my space.

There was a rat chewing in the wall right next to my wife’s head of the bed the other night and I got him with this trap the following day, but something else has been licking off the bait for nights running.

The frito needs to be somehow fastened to the trigger or the mouse will just pick it off.

It’s glued on with organic
peanut butter.

If only that was a Dorito, it’d be dangerously cheesy.

Hopefully the rat thinks so.

Yes, and the trap is screwed too a strip of plywood so that none of its energy is wasted.

Thank you for allowing our discourse to remain open, even if we might have differed significantly in that other thread. I wrote a lengthy reply to auila121 and while yes, I was knowingly being provocative, I really intended only deep irony and not affront. There is a surprising capacity in this space for folks to assume good intent that is absent in most other social media spheres.
If the Death Frito becomes the Reaper Frito, I will post accordingly.

Pleasantly surprised there aren’t any comments demanding that you use a no-kill “humane” trap. Happy hunting.

I did use organic peanut butter to glue down the Frito.
