I mean, I know it’s nearly over anyway. But last October we had lots of days in the 60's, even some in the 70's. I mean I’d be happy with 50's! But no, we’ve been in a pattern of cold, gray, wet, or sunny but windy as hell, and spitting snow on and off since probably the first week of October. This is NOVEMBER weather, damnit!
On the other hand, a local ski area is opening up, got 10" of snow on Wednesday, and is expecting more snow over the weekend. Yay?
I’m just glad I winterized my boat 2 weeks ago.

We’ve been back and forth for the last few weeks, with snow at the end of September, then 16 degrees last week. It looks like the colder weather might finally be here to stay, though.

Here, it went straight from needing to have the vents open every day, to one day of needing the heater, to vents for two days, and then cold. It’s currently 42F outside and raining.
Appropriately enough, my youtube ads have suffered a psychotic break and decided I’m in Maine (I’m in western NC).

Highest its been has been 55 here last two weeks. Looks like almost 70 next week tho... I winterized mine this week, but its just an outboard so I really didn't have to do anything.

ugh, that’s the worst part of my current boat. It took me an hour and 10 minutes just to winterize it. That’s after it was on the trailer and up on land, and doesn’t include the time it took to cover it, clean it all out, and put it away somewhere, nor cleaning the bottom of the hull.

We used the air conditioning in our house the last week of September. Then straight to burning wood in the woodstove ever since.

Yup, my father in law does the same with his Sea-ray. Takes a whole lotta time to haul and clean before you even add antifreeze.

Seems like it went summer, summer, summer, fall, oh hey winter’s here now.
Weather machine broke.

I don’t do the bottom myself; when I worked at a marina I did hundreds of them and I hate, hate, hate it. Never again. $100 well spent at the marina.
The rest of it, yeah. My old direct drive was pretty easy. Now I’ve got a v-drive with a heater, ballast tanks, etc. and it’s not simple.

Earlier this year it was winter, winter, winter, still winter, even more winter, until finally BAM one day it was summer. It seems just as there was no spring, we also get no fall this year.
Two weeks ago it was literally 89 one day and 42 the next.
Typically the winter tires go on around Thanksgiving, but I’m making the switch tomorrow, just because it is too cold for the summer rubber to be happy out there.

I usually wait for Thanksgiving, too. But my wife’s Mini being FWD, I’m tempted to switch her over sooner than later. Don’t want a surprise slippery road on her 50 mile highway commute..... I can survive locally with my all-seasons and AWD. I’ll put my snows on late, as usual.
