Got my Pixel 3 case today. Just ordered it 5 days ago, so pretty impressed with the speed. This is my 2nd “My Case”, I have one for my first gen Pixel as well. Pixel 3 should be here in a week or so.

My first case was light grey, the case turned purple from my jeans over time so I went darker this time.

The case is a stylized map of Fort Langley. The case sets the wallpaper to a stylized map (in the same colour scheme) of your current location, tying together the physical/digital theme.

I like maps as art and have a few geographical prints in my small townhouse. They are usually pretty and the places mean a lot to me.

This one was done by someone in the Canadian Military who specializes in recon. They wanted to use that software to create art. Each building has a box for each unit in it.

Im going to need you to remind me after you've used it for a week or so for a real person (not blogger shill) review. I've been sticking it out with my OG Pixel  and have been eyeballing the 3 but some of the intial reviews are concerning (though they could just be trying to buy clicks with controversy).

Samesies. 1st Gen pixel (though it’s my third one...) It’s the first Android phone I’ve not switched out after 6 months. Two years and going strong! Well, besides the poor battery life.

My battery I have noticed has taken a beating but still better than my HTC one I previously had. And significantly better than the previous dozen of Android phones I've had in my history.

I was eyeing but ended up buying a Xiaomi Mi 8 instead. I’m happy with my purchase. Snapdragon 845, 6gb ram, 128gb, and $420. Same dimensions as an iPhone XS. Battery life has been great. Bonus: dual sim, so makes travel easier.

Don’t be shy about the occasional update. I still have a Pixel XL and will probably be looking at changing it up next year, so far I’ve been happy, mostly use it to take pictures of cars and sunsets

I just got my Pixel 3 , and I have been considering getting one of these maps cases. How durable is the case and the print? I know you said your old one turned a bit purple on you, but other than that it held up well?

It’s hard to pull the trigger since they are fairly expensive. But if I can keep this phone for almost two years like I did with my original Pixel, that makes it a lot easier to justify getting the more expensive case.

Also I just gotta say the camera is mindblowing for a phone. The original Pixel was good, but this one is on a whole different level.

Yeah, it held up well in my opinion. I wouldn’t say I am an abusive user though. I like having a unique case that looks kinda modern/artistic but is actually a map of an area I love.

I can’t wait to get my pixel. If the camera is as good as you and reviews say, I really look forward to taking photos even better than the below.

Those photos are wonderful. The composition really makes them. I love the one with the lens flare. Although for better or worse they have almost completely gotten rid of that with this phone.

One of the best parts about it is the focus tracking. I am mainly take lots of pictures of my kids, and now once you select them on the screen it will keep them in focus even if they are running all over the place. But it also works with static objects if you are moving around and trying to get better angles and such.

Most of the drama is just that. I have had my Pixel 3 for... well actually it’s been a week today. And it is absolutely fantastic. If you ask me it is the perfect upgrade from the original Pixel. The all glass back freaks me out a little, but it feels amazing, and having wireless charging again definitely makes it worth it.
