You need a bigger shelf.

Are they of any value? I have a totally unused 70s ‘Zenit’ camera my grandpa bought in the USSR, and which I keep as an ornament. I always wonder if it’s worth anything.

What meaning you append to worth will determine that. Their worth as cameras will depend on your ability to assess and restore them as needed. Which should happen before attempting to use them or, worse yet, try to find usable film which might be long out of manufacture.

Fiscal worth is easy enough to gauge in the internet age. As a for instance here is a presumed NIB Kodak Instamatic X-90 for $10 . From that listing alone you can judge it is common and probably not going to support an automotive habit off the proceeds.

True worth will more than likely come from enjoyment and understanding of them.  Which might inspire some amount of sentimental appreciation.  The traveling case is a very nice touch for whatever camera and lenses it was fit for.

The baby Rollei and Yashica are both pretty interesting. The Rollei is worth some $$$ if it is in good working order, even though 127 film is nearly impossible to get these days and costs way too much when you can.

Well said. I’ll have to try and find film for it. It would be the first photograph it has taken if I do get it to work. It still has the wrapping paper and the invoice from the store.

The rollei appears to have a stuck shutter, I may look into that. Gonna hit up a local camera store and see what options are with that thing.

Nice. I was also recently given an Olympus OM-1 and bunch of lenses and accessories that go with it.  As cool as it is, I’m probably going to throw it up on ebay or craigslist soon... I’d love to keep it, but I know it would only sit on a shelf in a closet until who knows when.  I’ve got enough other hobbies to know that I’m just not going to take up film photography with a fully manual SLR...

Mmmmmm, those Olympus OM-1's are beau tiful. The Rolleiflex is nice too.

I shot one roll through my Rolleiflex and the focus gears got stuck. Still works as decoration, but the photos from that one roll were amazing.

The OM-1 looks neat. Super quiet shutter compared to my Pentax. Lenses are kind of on the slow side, though.
