I like Bryan Cranston. I like Ramin Djawadi’s orchestral arrangement of “Paint it Black” from Westworld.

But, uh, other automakers actually do build things too ? And considering Ford is going to kind a stop building cars in the U.S., it seems like an odd thing to brag about.

Still, nice epic quality, and c ertainly better than Chevy’s incessant “not actors” ads that are apparently so effective.

it’s not as bad as the article on the FP made it seem. overall I’m kind of meh, I would shifted the focus on everything ford has innovated over it’s history rather than the whole “sure, we look behind, but” message. I’m not sure it’s very effective.

for example: innovations in performance (old ford gt, new ford gt) comfort (old thunderbird, new.... something) effeciency, ect. ect. Never acknowledge your faults, twist them into pros.

Then again, I still can’t find a marketing gig.

It taps into the country’s undercurrent pride in our nation’s industrial prowess and innovation forged during the last century. Always a pretty safe angle. Of course, it doesn’t emphasize that Ford is really a global company, but that’s marketing.  Focus on the message of the moment.

I don’t even really remember what he says. They’re totally forgettable.

At least Mcconaughey was memorably weird.
