Funny how certain things remind you of a place and time. Back in high school, I volunteered to work with the school maintenance guys over the summer to knock a few hundred off tuition (Catholic school, dontcha know). Cleaning desks, replacing lights, washing floors, that sort of thing. I actually loved it, the guys were cool, and the work was fun. Every other week or so they’d get together with the office staff and order a Bigfoot or two for lunch. I miss those times....

Crazy. I remember this, and recall it wasn’t half bad, but I was 16, and not picky.

Pizza is like sex. Even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good.

I recall an elementary school party where a small kid managed to put away nearly an entire one these himself (I think he would have done it if he didn’t have to share).

They were not good pizzas though.

Eh, all we knew growing was Pizza Hut (especially with their Book It! program) and Chuck-E-Cheese’s.

I definitely remember these.

M y parents would often go out on date nights on Saturdays and leave me and my brother with a sitter, pizza, Star Trek TNG, and the other syndicated shows that came on after it that we shouldn’t have been watching, like Baywatch and Acapulco Heat .

We usually got Pizza Hut, not because it was great or anything, but it had cool gimmicks. For example, these awesome Back to the Future II sunglasses:

I totally had a pair of the half red, half yellow ones.

I also distinctly remember being very intrigued by the cheeseburger pizza they had around the same time, and also the Bigfoot. We got a lot of Bigfoots delivered to our pool so we had enough for when the other kids inevitably came around to mooch a slice .

OMG, I’d forgotten about the BTTFII glasses!

Kinja'd!!!

I think I had a pair of these ones.

Need to find/buy/make one of these “rehydratable pizza” props too.
