I was walking in the garage last night after the symphony concert and saw this glorious Toyota pickup. Turns out it belongs to one of our viola players. I never knew viola players could be so cool. I think he said it’s a 78, with about 160k on the clock. I would have thought it would be more. But it just looks so fantastically driven . I love it.

Last car I would expect a concert viola player to drive. World is a fascinating place.

Not exactly what I expected. A cellist in the orchestra I worked for drove a very tastefully modified W126 560SEL that I want to replicate someday, but I have no clue what the others drove (the conductor drove an Isuzu Rodeo).
I guess we only remember the interesting or unusual vehicles...

The principal viola of the orchestra I play in owns an e30 convertible and once had an MG. He loves when I bring the TR6. Which in fact we drove to today’s concert, in a gorgeous fall day in the upper 40°s.
