So proud of this kid’s guts and ability. He has worked hard, and has been performing (first dance, then music) since he was about 5 or 6.
He was really nervous, but he came out proud of himself and determined to keep doing it to gain more confidence on stage. He did 2 Mac Miller songs and a Tyler the Creator song. My photos will have to wait. I am doing proud dad now.

Great job! Hopefully he will pursue his talents. One o f my nieces was able to get a full ride at AMDA in Manhattan, I hope he can do something similar if that is what he chooses to do.

Well done fella.
It takes more guts to do an open mic in a bar when there are people laughing and joking around you as it can easily distract you and rapidly increase your anxiety levels.
Well done for holding in there, keeping his nerve and playing so well.

Never stop encouraging and supporting him. Back about 15 years ago I was getting decent at guitar and taking voice lessons. I was in a college filled with talented musicians who outshined me, but I still wanted to perform. I did a few times, but it seemed like no one cared and no one showed up for me. I gave it up long ago, and at this point in my life I have no desire to start again. It’ll probably never a mount to a musical career, but it’s a hell of a confidence builder.
