I was walking back from my Kia (street parked) and a mom in my complex told me that the other night her 3 year old son said “mommy, why does that man have so many cars?”. She said it was because I wanted to drive different cars on different days. Which, is kinda true?
I am always out cleaning/maintaining. Like nearly every night, so most people in my townhouse complex know me.
Kids love the cars, especially the truck and Fiesta. Kids are inherently car people, they love the noise, shiny metal, bright colours and stripes.
Makes me kinda want one. Then I come to my senses.

But only Vehicle Voltron. Anyone with any sense will want to form Lion Voltron, but that’s going to take lions rather than cars. Maybe try for Menasor or something instead.

There was a time in the not-too-distant past, when you could offer a ride around town to all the neighborhood kids, in the bed of your pickup, and it was seen as clean wholesome fun and not suicidal and pedo-
stalkerish.

This is me on my block. Between our 3 cars, my mother’s car that sometimes stays with us when she is out of town, some of the neighbours get confused and think that I keep getting new cars.
But we did
change
3
cars in the past year, so that probably didn’t help.

Me too, I’m cut off... The only reason I have the CRV is to get to work etc.. I could use the Mercedes all the time but I’d want to put some money into rebuilding the tranny, but I would feel bad putting so many miles on it. At work we are often in small groups and if we get a newbie someone always says, he’ s crazy, he has four cars. I’m like, why am I crazy??

Most of my friends and coworkers think I have too many cars....but my girlfriend thinks I should get more, as long as there’s a 240Z, 2002, and Grand Wagoneer involved. I like her thinking better.

Well I am obsessed, no mystery there. I’m in a union so people are always saying I’m rich or something. Well none of them were expensive to get, I did get the 240Z before they started going up but I’m sure over three years I spent $15k on it. I buy something and make it mechanically sound first, then prioritize . My wife works, no kids and my mom owns the place we live in, so yeah I am cheating... But as you know the Bay Area is insane right now and we never would have moved here if any of that wasn’t the case.
