This is what bedtime looks like at my house.
It takes Toby a little time to settle down. And of course, Pumpkin does what she feels is appropriate to help with the chores.
Goodnight, humans. She has elected to tolerate you for one more night.

I can sympathize. Bedtime here is two dogs and two cats on our queen bed with the third cat on the tower next to the bed. Not much room for us humans, but we make do

Good night mate.
I'm jealous of sharing a bed with a load of animals to snuggle up with.

We have a rescue beagle that’s spent a good portion of his life in cages/crates. Despite being almost 3 years old (we think), he was never housebroken. We’ve been working with him and are having lots of success, but until it’s been more than a month since his last accident, he’s still sleeping in his crate at night.
That said, our last beagle used to sleep on the bed with us. I didn’t like it at the time, but I miss it now. Last night, he jumped up on the bed and curled up next to her, and then I laid down next to him...and he was snoring shortly after. I felt really bad having to pick him up to put him in his crate for the night, but I’d hate to wake up to a surprise on the new carpet.

That first pic of our Empress Pumpkin has that face like, “He’s taking pictures again, isn’t he? Sigh...I would kill you where you stand, human, if it were not for the comfort of these freshly washed fabrics.”
