Paul Lynde sounds more masculine and threatening than that horn.  It’s the horn version of “I’m going to give you SUCH a pinch.”

Time to get some air horns!

It might crumple the thin sheet metal.  But I think it would be worth it.  After I honked the horn I laughed for a full minute.

My wife gets mad at me because anytime she honks her horn it’s so wimpy that I chuckle. I really need to find and wire in an old Caddy 4-note horn.

Does it have both  high and low note horns?

The one in my Optima was bad too, but I think it was supposed to be a dual-note horn and one of them died.  It can’t possibly have meant to sound like that.

Nope.  Just a high-pitched “meeeeep”.

When I was younger I bought an old Saturn coupe off of some family friends after my car died. A few weeks later I'm second in line at a traffic light and when it goes green, the guy in front of me didn't notice. I beeped the horn at him...and nothing happened. You've never truly felt powerless until you're trying to get a guy to look up at the green light but you have no horn.

The horn in my old Celebrity died in the most entertaining way possible. I held the horn on , and the tone kept going lower and lower until it stopped and was replaced by clicking.

Ha! We had a Ce lebrity once. In hindsight, I wish we still had it. It was the Celebrity Eurosport station wagon, and it was very brown.

My Camaro is supposed to have a high and low horn, but it’s missing the high one so it sounds like a love sick goat. It’s the Eeyore of horns.

I had to find video of it... it sounds like most modern horns? Is it dual tone and on yours the low-tone horn has died?

edit: I found one that sounded funnier...

You should’ve heard the horn in my Geo Metro. It was like the car was sneezing.

Nissan has something the call the “sports” horn. It was a popular mod that the folks on the Nissan cube forums did.

I liked my cube when I had it, I just couldn’t deal with the CVT long term. It was like driving a sofa. I imagine I would have liked the manual much better, but it wasn’t an option as my wife can’t/won’t learn how to drive a manual.

In an earlier post you mentioned about the rear seats. They fold, but it doesn’t really give you a ton of space. When I had mine, I actually just took the rear seats out as I never have more than one passenger . It was a few bolts, didn’t take much time. I threw a carpet remnant over the seat tracks and that was all. The car has a ton of space inside.  It was great for carrying around my dogs.

You should transplant an old MB horn, they might approximate to a  German guy yelling at someone.

It’s possible. This one is definitely not a dual tone at the moment.

I had a couple Chevy Sprints and they were basically the same.

I’ll have to look into that sports horn. This one is so weak.

The manual is a major upgrade over the CVT. I remember when I drove a CVT Cube it was painfully slow. This one isn’t exactly fast, but it’s got some pep. It’s definitely fun. My Fiat should have had this much power, it would have been perfect.

I’d take out the seats, but it just so happens that the seats are at just the right level for our little dog Sophie  to comfortably stick her head out the window. She hasn’t been able to do that since the SX4 because the beltlines on cars keep creeping higher. So I bought some cheap seat covers to keep her hair off of the seat and it's all good.
