Companion tools used to be a Sears brand along with Craftsman in the 30's-50's and then eventually the brand became a foreign made product line. It’s cast iron which is a plus, but you can tell it was a mid to lower end home owner’s saw. The tires on the pulley would need replacing. It bet it would look pretty sweet cleaned up. If it’s less than fifty I’d consider it. Does it say Made in USA?

Not really, I’d go $50, $100 max if it was something I really wanted.

I couldn't find a comparable one on eBay. It doesn't sound like it would be worth the effort to buy and ship off somewhere

Definitely not. And I do ub t Companion tools have much of a collectors group. I like the design of the doors, but I bet in use that just blows saw dust every where. Cleaned up it would make a cool decor piece in a wood shop.

Co ol thanks for the info. I’m probably gonna have to pass. I’d love to take it and clean it up but I have so much else to do it would just sit in the corner of my basement and rust away

Maybe try listing it on craigslist, so you don’t have to pay to ship it somewhere?

There’s probably a market for that thing. People love having display pieces for shops and such
