I'm doing alright now that the weekend has arrived. Thanks to Hurricane Michael, we shifted from summer weather to fall weather literally overnight. Yesterday was in the 80s, humid, and it rained a bit. Today it barely hit 60, the air is crisp and dry, and it'll go down to 44 tonight. Looks like I'm running out of days for convertible driving.

It’s been a rough week. Had to put down my dog . Normally he’d be in my lap right now as I worked on stuff for next week’s 4th grade math. Then school was out for two days due to half the district losing power. I need a pick-me-up.

Ohhh that does help. I’m hoping to tear my interior apart and lay down some thikk sound deadening so a nice, non-rainy day weekend would be appreciated.

He was about 13 or so. Strong as could be until the middle of September, too. He started to get sluggish so I took him into the vet. Blood work showed red count way down and white count up. So he got on Prednisone and did better for about two weeks. Then after another followup, his red count was down to 1/3 of normal and he was showing a good bit of jaundice. Liver or kidney failure...

So I took him out for Chicken McNuggets and cuddled him for a few hours before sending him home. I miss him. He was my dude. This was his first haircut after I got him in 2010:

I’m so ready for the weekend. Except my weekend will consist of working on installing recessed lighting and doing a bunch of wiring in my shallow attic. And the weather is supposed to improve. We may even hit 60 next week which is still below normal for this time. I just want a weekend I don’t have to work and can get a babysitter for my kids for a few hours.

Tired. My stupid cats decided last night at 2am they needed to eat and started meowing for food. If I had access to a bedside firearm, there would have been some holy cats last night

And I bought an 18” wheel/tire package from tire rack and installed it on my Jetta. I like how it looks.

For some reason I’ve been looking at Katzkin’s site and dreaming of heated Leather seats. First world problems....
