Soooo, one of my inner high beams on the Galaxie is dead (5 3/4" sealed , single). This would be the perfect time to replace both. What with?

Silly suggestions (yellow French style, etc. welcome)

I mean, it wouldn’t be a direct fit, might require some modification of the sheet metal...

Quiet, you. Only if I get the four barrel carb first.

Maybe. Need to narrow it down a bit of  course.

They regrettably don’t have as many total  nonsense options in small sealed beam as large, and fewer still for single filament.

I don’t think yellow would really work for that car, being one of the least European cars I can think of . If it were me I’d try to find an original style (non-halogen) replacement. The light from t hose is pretty yellow anyway, right?

What is most terrifying about these is the cost of $324

They did race all over Europe, though, particularly England. The main motivation for that would be lulz. Original style replacements are easily had, but also easily had are tri-spoke style lights, catseye lights, tri-spoke halogen retrofit, and on and on and on.

I had noticed that. There are similar ones a bit cheaper, though:

I actually couldn’t easily find an original style when I was looking for my Camaro. All I could get were halogens. And it is always entertaining to watch Galaxies race at Goodwood. It’s like a Great Dane playing with Chihuahuas.

My mistake, I thought you were talking halogen conversions. Can’t say I know too much about non-halogen sealed beams, though. In my experience the budget technically- halogen sealed beams are quite yellow as well.

From what I’m looking at, an option might be the Hella Bi-Focus. Designed for 5 3/4", explicitly a low-beam option for H1 bulbs.

Let’s just say that the old style non-halogen sealed beams were a bit on the dim side. When halogen sealed beams started showing up everybody bitched that they blinded them exactly the same way they did when HIDs came out.

Model rocket launch rail would be the cool option.

2 or more  52 inch led light bars on top of each other.  And must add truck nuts in the rear.

If I stacked two 36" light bars they would actually fit across the grill between the lights. Radiator airflow would go to shit, but why worry?

Cut holes in bumper for air flow

Extra points if you add led bars in those holes too.

I think it would be cool as hell to run some hose from the headlights to the air cleaner in a sedan.

Heck, why not throw a reverse   teardrop hood on it over that new 4 barrel intake?
