6:39 a.m. Someone started their day by pocket dialing 911.
7:14 a.m. A group of school children waiting for the bus entertained themselves by laying in the road and playing chicken with local traffic.
8:38 a.m. Someone tried to break into a Bigfork office.
9:08 a.m. Someone spray painted the side of a Columbia Falls man’s home.
9:22 a.m. A dog was loose in Kalispell.
10:04 a.m. A Columbia Falls woman called 911 because her neighbor’s two dogs have been chasing deer all summer long and now three more dogs have arrived. The woman was concerned that the local deer population will not like getting constantly chased.
10:39 a.m. A Whitefish man was sick and tired of his neighbor letting his dog out to “do his business” in his own front yard.
10:57 a.m. A man and a woman were fighting in Kalispell. One was armed with a cane and the other was armed with a garden hose.
11:09 a.m. An abandoned pickup truck was found at a church.
11:31 a.m. A Kalispell resident saw someone talking on a phone while driving. The concerned citizen informed the driver that they shouldn’t drive while using a cell phone. The driver stuck their tongue out and kept on driving.

4:41 p.m. A Kalispell woman said her neighbor’s cows keep eating her grass.
6:43 p.m. A Kalispell woman “thinks she’s being scammed.”
10:11 a.m. Someone was passed out on a sidewalk.

you know I like giving my kid some freedom , letting him have some responsibility for his actions. but that one about the kids at the bus stop makes me understand why my wife is so paranoid, and has a hard time letting him out of eye sight.
also kids, especially in groups are stupid. probably 95% of the stupid, reckless illegal things I’ ve done in my life have been with groups of friends. since I got married and moved away from those friends I do significantly less stupid things.

Yeah, I mean I feel crappy blaming the victim here, but this is not a Responsible Gun Owner™. I’d feel bad for the guy if someone kept stealing his CDs, but please secure your deadly weapons. Tons of people happily store their guns in their cars though. I knew several people in Houston who had handguns stolen out of their pickups. I do wonder if people realize that that NRA (or other pro-gun sticker) on their truck is basically a sign that says “there’s a good chance there’s an easily stolen gun inside (likely conveniently in the center console or driver’s side door pocket)! “

How did you find this? I wish we had one of these for my town. It’d be the same nonsense. Although a week ago some dude at 1 AM decided to cross the street and got plowed by a doctor with a suspended license. The road has almost no activity after 10PM, so you can imagine avoiding a car at 1AM wouldn’t be hard. Feel bad for the guy.

I’m the ‘crazy’ one in my house. My wife blames it for my year away from the family while she raised our son, which made her ‘tougher’. I just don’t trust a 2yo in the front yard, not to do something stupid. They’re fast and dumb - two things I don’t trust.

Mine is a bit older he’ll be 10 in February. I like to send him into Little Ceasers by himself and stuff like that when I was his age I was roaming freely around town on my bike and I never had a fear in the world.
Now most parents won’t let there kid go to the bathroom alone at a restaurant. I understand the fear, but I also want my kid to able to function independently, should he ever end up separated from us.

These idiots that wear all the tacticool gear are just making themselves targets, thereby negating the point of carrying a concealed weapon. I'm a board shorts/Polo/flip flops kind of guy, and you won't find any 2A pride stickers on my vehicles. That's just idiocy.

It’s hunting season. Pretty normal to have a rifle in your car and 2-5 hand guns under the seat and some automatics in the glove box.

Often the police department will publish them, though they tend to be a bit more dry than what gets posted here. Local papers may but them up because they are basically free content. Here’s the first page (of 12) from yesterday’s reporting in Ithaca :

In any event, search for police blotter, police activity logs, police crime logs, etc. Some police departments are way less open with these, basically requiring an information request for any detail.
