Not too many people in the U.S. would want a RHD winter beater, especially one that looks this good.

Somehow I think the author got their Subaru dual range mumbo jumbo mixed up. AWD with a decorative low range might be a better description.

We had one in our work fleet at the time. I would not be rushing to buy one these days especially when even a first generation Forester makes this old Sportswagon feel positively antiquated.

I drove one of these for a bit in highschool (LHD though) and it still bothers me that my dad sold it. It was actually really clean with virtually no rust. though i t wasn’t particularly good at anything, t he engine was weak, the heat never worked properly, and the AWD wasn’t all that great (I definitely got it stuck in some deep snow in a parking lot once). I still loved it though and wish my dad  had kept it.
