You have nine spaces, but you can only buy three *new* cars of each group: FoMoCo, GM, and FCA.
my choices:
Ford:

General Motors:

Fiat-Chrysler:

Ford: Mustang V8 convertible, Focus RS, Ranger (if it ever gets here)
GM: Chevy Volt, CTS-V, GMC Yukon Denali
Chrysler: Dodge Ram Rebel, Jeep Wrangler, Alfa 4C (that counts, right?)
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:06 |
|
I mean, I did put the Fiesta ST, so I guess that it’s not a USDM list to begin with.
Those are good choices. I suspect you chose the Volt because of the range extender?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:07 |

Fiesta ST, Ford GT, Transit
GM: volt, TourX, camaro rs
FCA: 124, 500 Arbath, 488
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:08 |

The Camaro RS is the best Camaro available. I just configured one with the upgraded Brembos
BOI!
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:10 |

I really like the thought of electric cars; the Volt just seems to be a more seemless fit, both due to the range and it’s normal car looks. I like the idea of the Bolt, but it’s just too small and goofy looking to make me want it.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:12 |
|
I think the Bolt was a missed opportunity, I mean. It could’ve been RWD! But my commute is like 20 miles a day, a Bolt’s wouldn’t bother me at all (and if I needed to go on a road trip, I got eight pieces of Americana waiting for me in the other stalls!)

FoMoCo : Mustang GT350R, GT, F-150 Raptor
GM: Cadillac ATS-V Coupe, Cadillac CTS-V, Corvette ZR1
FCA: Ram 3500 Limited w/ Cummins, Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, Challenger Hellcat Widebody
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:16 |

I’ll take a GT350 R, Raptor, and a beyond base model Focus
An Escalade, a Zo6 and a Volt
A Giulia quadrifoglio, a Jeep Rubicon, and a 500 abarth

Ford:

FCA US:

I think that base cars can teach us a lot at times.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:18 |

I thought about putting the 300C, but the Challenger seemed like a better way to express the LX platform . Does the V8 have AWD already?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:18 |

Only 5 V8s... 4 turbo 6s
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:19 |

Oh shit, the Raptor! though I thought the CTS-V had a V8?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:22 |

It does.
The GT, Raptor, ATS-V, and Ram are all turbo 6s
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:25 |

Damn, at 6.7L I would’ve thought it was a V8. Well, TIL I guess.

Chrysler: Charger Hellcat, 4c, Fiat 500

Those lengthy pulls cannot be at a legal speed.
It’s a shame they don’t sell the manual RS here... I love everything about it!
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:28 |
|
Why a Ranger and not an F-150?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:31 |
|
The Cummins I6 diesels are iconic, and still the best HD engines out there.
385 hp and 930 lb-ft of torque.
Gotta have something to tow the toys (ZR1, GT, GT350R) to the track.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:33 |
|
Diesels are typically i6 because of the naturally balanced primary and secondary forces.. I should’ve known. Maybe I got confused because of the Powerstroke, those are V8.... I think?
I thought about adding the Tahoe RST to the GM list rather than the Corvette, but the Raptor can tow.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:36 |
|
I’m aware, and b oth the Powerstroke and Duramax are V8s.
Who needs a Tahoe when you can get a Dodge dually instead? Also, the Trackhawk is a better hotrod than the RST.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:43 |
|
I like basic cars. I rode in a Honda Fit today and am genuinely considering one as a city runaround because do I really need a thirsty, twin-cam v6 to go to the grocery store? I wouldn’t really care about dings (because I’d buy one with some already) and it would get good MPG.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:44 |

Ford Focus ST-Line X, 1.5 EcoBlue.
Fiat 124 Spider S-Design, 1.4.
Vauxhall/Holden VXR8 GTS-R. 6.2

The RST isn’t a hot rod. It's an LS with a nice exhaust tbh...
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:49 |

Ah, dings... still the number one reason I don’t take my car out as often as my jeep .

id go hardtop on the JL, but its a great list
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:52 |

I've test driven about 40 different trucks in the last month for work, and F-150's were far and away my least favorite. I don't love the current Ranger either, but if I have to choose between two that I'm not fond of, I'll go with the smaller one. Full-size trucks feel like driving tanks...
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:52 |
|
Even with the hesitation before shifting, no way with 300+ hp.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:53 |
|
Also, the Raptor is really not a tow vehicle. It has the second lowest tow rating of any F-150 engine choice, only beating the 3.3 NA V6.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:54 |
|
I guess a mid-size makes a lot of sense as well. How about the new ram tho?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:55 |
|
My poor 4Runner has been racking them up in the last year after it hit 150k. It makes me sad considering how clean the body and frame were otherwise. Fortunately, it’s only on the doors.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:56 |
|
Yeah, I guess that when they added sportiness they reduced practicality, but I’m not sure I’d be towing a lot. I mean, maybe the Vet or the FoRS. Not something like a boat or anything that a diesel would be used to towing.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 21:57 |
|
Clean frame=good.
Just cover it in mud! If people ding it, their cars get dirty!
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:00 |
|
That’s the one truck I didn’t try. I went in representing a company that wanted to buy 18 trucks within the next year, and they treated me like a kid trying to steal a car. Nope. Took my business elsewhere, and sent my eventual purchase agreement with a local competing Chevy dealer to every email I could find connected to the FCA dealership . I'd like to think they saw that $200,000 going down the drain and regretted their poor service, but they probably didn't even read the email
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:02 |
|
Yeah, bad dealers can really loose out on opportunities. So ya’ll got chevys instead?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:06 |
|
FCA: 500 Abarth (for fast), Ram 3500 (for towing stuff), Grand Cherokee Overland (for long journeys and commutes)
GM: Buick LaCrosse (DD), Holden Commodore SS (never said they had to be NA-market cars, and a few Commodores are still sitting around in Australian Holden dealers) , Chevy Bolt (commuter/city car)
Ford: Ranger Raptor (for winter and other non-towing truck things), Troller T4 (again, didn’t say they had to be NA-market cars!), Ford Transit (because you never know when you’ll need a big, inconspicuous van, p erhaps the M-Sport Transit Custom for fun )
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:07 |
|
Do they really not sell a manual RS Camaro there ?
The actual fuck GM Mexico.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:08 |
|
If I had to pick just one from each, my list would probably look pretty similar. Just swap the Fiata for a big Ram. Just so things can be balanced (as all things should be).
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:09 |
|
Or the SS. They only sell the four banger with a manual.
Also, Dodge only sells the Hellcat (auto) no SRT or Scat pack and ford doesn’t sell the manual ecoboost.
Plus, I think in BMW’s history in mexico, they never sold a manual 3er other than the M3s..
Mexicans just don’t like manuals I guess.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:11 |
|
I mean, I do use the Fiesta St, so yeah, not NA market.
Why am I just learning of the T4? I love literally everything about it! Since it’s Brazilian I bet it runs on corn juice as well!
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:12 |

7 now to score the fleet membership, the rest later. I wasn't expecting much, but I've really come to love the base Silverado.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:12 |
|
Base still runs a V8 or is it a V6?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:16 |
|
V6. Not fast by any means, but the auto is good and will hold a gear
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:27 |

GM: Holden Commodore TourX Calais; Holden Astra Hatch RS-V, Holden Colorado SportCat.
Ford: Mustang Convertible V8 (with Tickford upgrade) ; Transit 470e Double Cab Chassis; Focus RS Limited Edition.
FCA: 124 Spider ; Maserati Levante GTS; Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:29 |

If I could substitute a GM product for another Ford, I’d like an Australian Ford Ranger Tray Ute.

Was the Gilietta ever sold in America?
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:40 |

Don’t know or care since I’m not in America. And its available in Oz.
Truth be told...I wouldn’t spend actual money on any of these vehicles except (perhaps) the Transit, the TourX or the 124. ..
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:42 |

Lincoln MKS
Ford F150
Lincoln Continental
Chevrolet Corvette
Buick Regal
Cadillac ATS-V
Alfa Romeo 4C
Lancia Ypsilon
Dodge Challenger SRT 492
![]() 10/07/2018 at 22:43 |

Oh, right. I don't think the Guilietta was that nice anyway. I really like the desing (the rear lamps are amazing) but the interior seemed lack luster for such an expensive car compared to the competition.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 23:04 |
|
Don’t think so, pretty sure its just the Pentastar on the Challenger.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 23:15 |

The Charger has AWD in the police model.
Honestly, if FCA is so rad and they’re putting hellcat engines everywhere, why not an AWD 300 Hellcat
? I mean...it would be amazing! It’s got the right american car looks and precense, it’s fucking huge, and, vitally...
THE HELLCAT
ENGINE ALREADY FITS IN THE BAY!

I guess they don’t want to spend any more R&D money on a car for a brand that isn’t going to make cars much longer. Chrysler’s future is minivans, maybe some crossovers, but mostly minivans.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 23:23 |
|
Ah man, it's a shame. I always liked the 300c.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 23:24 |
|
Me too, and it actually still sells decently for a full-size car in 2018 that hasn’t been meaningfully updated in 7 years and gets zero marketing support. But, the market isn’t big enough for FCA to keep selling two of them, is what they’ve decided.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 23:28 |
|
I'm not taking marketing advice from a company that still sells the Journey
![]() 10/07/2018 at 23:42 |

I like this prompt.
Starting with Ford: Mustang with the turbo-four (to piss off all the 5.0-philes), base model F-150 that still gets the V8 to tur n into a modern Lightning trim, and a Transit Connect van for when I need a little cargo space. I’ve already got a couple pickups, after all.
GM: Colorado d iesel pickup because towing package/capacity, Cadillac ATS-V since the Chevy SS got axed and I want a sports sedan with a stick, and the Chevy Bolt for when I’m feeling green.
FCA: Fiata 124 Abarth is as close as I can get to "Miata is always the answer," a Ram Runner for if I ever want to tool around in sand dunes or something, and an Alfa Romeo 4C.
![]() 10/07/2018 at 23:46 |
|
Those are good choices.
I'm really starting to think than any perfect car garage must include an EV. I'm sure that I'll be very interested in the E-Niro once it comes to Mexico :)

Ford ranger 2.2L manual Dual Cab
Dodge Challenger SRT manual
Fiat 500 Abarth
Ford Focus RS
nothing else, nothing in the GM world worth having
![]() 10/08/2018 at 06:54 |
|
Fun! No budget restriction?
Ford GT, F-150 Raptor, and a Focus RS. All in the neat Ford Performance Blue, since Guard isn’t available.
If I can sell them right away: 3 ZR1s. If I have to use them at least once a month: A Bolt (but change the badging to the Euro version... Is there a Euro version? I know the Volt had the Opel Ampera but PSA bought Opel), a ZR1, and a GMC Top Kick or whatever they call it (if GMC gets a version of the chevy medium-duty truck).
Trackhawk, 124 Abarth, and a Stelvio Quadrafoglio (because the Levante is too ugly to look at, and the other Maseratis are too dated and/or don’t look right
).
![]() 10/08/2018 at 06:57 |

AWD Hellcat = SRT Trackhawk.

I think I’d rather walk.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 12:19 |

I thought Ferrari was their own company now? If they’re still under the FCA umbrella I need to change my answer.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 12:20 |

Ranger is expected to be on dealer lots before year end.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 12:23 |

MKS? Continental is the better replacement. Or did you mean a different model (or even Navigator)?
![]() 10/08/2018 at 12:25 |

I’ll take your 9, then.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 12:26 |

I meant the MKZ. I probably should have picked a Ford GT though.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 12:28 |

That was a bit of a reach. Ferrari is independent but j believe fca still controls the majority of shares.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 15:04 |

By all means, unless I’m able to sell them and buy the world’s supply of pre-1990 cars ;)

Mopar: Ram Rebel Crew Cab in Blue Streak. Hemi, of course.
Hellcat Challenger with the six speed, in F8 Green
And Durango SRT, Jazz Blue. (EDIT: Turns out you can’t get Jazz Blue on these. Damn. Black it would be then. Or Octane Red)
Ford:
Mustang Bullitt, Highland Green
F-150, 5.0, FX4, XLT Special Edition Ext cab, Race Red.
Focus RS
GM:
Camaro ZL1, 6 speed, Garnet Red
Black ZR1 Vette, 6 speed
Kinetic Blue ZR2 Colorado extended cab.
This would have been much, much easier if older vehicles were allowed.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 18:41 |

The only reason I like the Challenger is because of F8 green.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 18:41 |

Actually, scratch the Durango.
Rubicon Wrangler, 2 door, 6 speed, hard top, Ocean blue, black top, body colored flares.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 18:44 |

I work at a Dodge dealer, and I grew up around classic muscle cars, so I’m naturally attracted to them. Hell, I debated choosing the T/A 392 for this because it’s just *that* more retro. But, 707hp sounds like so much fun.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 18:48 |
|
I think Dodge should make the Widebody available in lower trims. 707hp sounds downright unusable imho... that’s why I chose the v6 AWD for my garage.
I'm not a big fan of muscle cars if I'm honest, though I can appreciate them, specially on the highway. A Scat Pack must be a hell of a highway cruiser, you could easily drive at, what? 120-160mph in one of those all day long without the car breaking a sweat.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 18:56 |
|
One of the dealership’s mechanic dailies one in the summer, and his has been tuned to 900+ hp. According to him, it’s not bad. I personally wouldn’t know myself though.
As far as the widebody, I’d *thought* I’d heard they were adding it to the Scat packs.
![]() 10/08/2018 at 19:04 |
|
Thats pretty cool. As far as power goes though, I think the scats are good enough. If I had a hellcat I’d probably have the tame key on all the time. I already think the power in my car (36
5hp) is enough to have a good amount of fun and an expensive ticket
![]() 10/08/2018 at 19:44 |

Sweet. I could easily use all 9 in the F
oMoCo catalog. Figuring out 3 more GMs will be tough.

Thanks, a lot of other people have highlighted good ones (same or different from me). Though I kept wanting to ditch the Cadillac and Ram Runner to include a fourth slot from Ford, because your mention of the Lin coln Continental is a really enticing... But, the lists would look wildly different if we broke that rule.
