I don’t see these often, and seeing a Honda and Acura version side by side in the same color is very unusual.

It’s crazy, I know, but I like one and not the other. The lines on the Crosstour are just cleaner...

That’s funny because I was just thinking the same thing in reverse. However, unlike most of our colleagues, I do not hate the Crosstour. It’s a wagon with a little extra ride height. Instead of vilifying it, people should be glad Honda tried to give them a viable wagon choice at all.

That actually does look pretty good. I don’t hate them as much as some, but the height is certainly one of the negatives.

One trend I wish would go away on modern cars is the bumper carveout where the hatch closes. I know it makes the seal easier to set up, but I would like either the bumper to have a defined line all the way across, or to have no recess.
Not sure if either works on the Crosstour as is, but...
...anyway, just something about the way a step in the opening breaks up the lines. Really annoying. Can’t explain why.

Personally I think they look better than those by far. If it didn’t have the massive Acura beak the ZDX could actually be a decent looking car.

Later in the d ay I was passed by a Bentley Mulsane, a 1959 El Camino, and a Ford unibody truck.
I believe all the automotive stars aligned today.

interesting - really had never picked up on the size and styling similarity even though one is a hatchbacked sedan, the other a squashed SUV.

shows how much more rear overhang the honda crosstour has than the ZDX. also that the window sills and roof is higher on the Acura...
