thats crazy, the rotors dont look like they are turning fast enough to do that sort of damage.

The lens might be messing with me, but that really didn’t seem like a spot with enough room to land in the first place.

Thats just how cameras pick up helicopters unless theyre super advanced. Those blades are spinning incredibly fast, its just an illusion

It could have ruined their pants too. And maybe it did.

They’re moving faster than they appear, it’s a trick of the video only catching the rotors at certain points.

It’s basically the same sort of effect as videos making cars wheels appear to rotate backwards.

It was probably an expensive day, though. From the YT comments:
You just witnessed a sudden stoppage . Bell will now sell the parts to replace the tail rotor drive couplings, segmented drive shafts, just for starters then add 4 main rotor blades tail rotor blades and several inspections of main gear box, T/R gear box and free wheel clutch, If these have signs of distress then the Nr engine section too will need replaced. If the helicopter remains in service with these defects not corrected then it’s manslaughter for the owner & pilot involved.....

And there is no discussion of stresses to the airframe itself.
That pilot may now be driving Uber for his job.
