ha.... im stealing this one, printing it out and putting up with all the serious safety posters that have suddenly appeared at my job (management and hr are having their annual safety boner)

(apparently my argument that ive worked this kinda job for years and never lost a digit yet so i dont need safety courses will not get me out of safety courses )

(neither will the fact that ive got a supervisor grade safety certificate that i needed to be allowed to work a previous job.... sigh)

I cut my head on something at work once, some minor freaking out ensued. “Ah! Blood! Contaminants!” not too long after a safety seminar on blood/fluids had taken place.

Here (not the same workplace), I’ve printed out and put up the following:

I was trying all week to work the logistics of maaaaybe taking a mid-week day off to catch up on things. Nope. Oh well, Friday, may manage to swing it next week... if I can get enough done on the project I keep getting called off of to do other things which then require communicating with people to finish.

Catching up? That’s what weekends are for, right? I had a PM miss a meeting this morning. Now he wants to reschedule for Sunday afternoon so he can have his work plan ready for review Monday morning. >:(

My father in law dropped a nice big tree branch on his head a few weeks ago. It was a dead fall that was hung up in the branch’s on a tree he was cutting.

A hard hat would have saved him a trip to the ER.
