Nice shots! Side note: That’s the same tram maker for Stone Mountain, GA. But I suppose once you have the market cornered in 50-passenger aerial trams, you can almost print your own money.

The Swiss? I thought that they do not need to print any money.... In stead, y ou willingly give your’s to them for “safekeeping”, and they take a portion as their fee. And then, when you are inevitably caught doing something illegal, they just keep the rest of it :-P

Secret: The trams are made of platinum. Your deposits are
“diversified” on mountains around the world!

But yeah, I believe it when you say that they are also pretty danged good at this "aerial tramway" business, what with the combination of Swiss German engineering and their local geography: https://www.doppelmayr.com/en/products/reversible-aerial-tramway/

I learned the word for tram in french first so 9 times out of ten all I can think of is
téléphérique
, and tram does not enter my brain. Ironically the only true tram
I have ridden was from Chamonix to Mount Blanc, Agu d’M
idi.
