Seriously people. If it expired in 2017, I think it’s time to throw it out. Stuff was nasty.

I know I have stuff in my fridge at home that came from 2003. Preserves don’t go bad, right?

I used to do this to my mom’s frig every few years. I found 3 year old cream cheese, it had gone through all phases of matter before ending in a shriveled
green desiccated
blob.

IIRC I found soup in the 2 year old range. Not many soup characteristics left.

Found some from the 1940s on an archaeology project once. The ants thought it was fine.

Nah, I kept the mustard. Ketchup, though? Gone.

There was some sort of relish/spread thing from 2016. Some
how, it still looked edible. Out it went.

When I was living with a roommate, I found a jar of mayo that had expired 3 years ago. We’d moved in a year ago, and he himself had moved a year before that . He’d carried that expired jar of mayo through 2 moves!
