Kinja'd!!!

Ford dealer ship- treated like garbage, dealing with slimy salesmen, outright lies by the saleswoman, employees who knew next to nothing about their products. Chevrolet dealership- friendly salesman, no bullshitting, offered high $ test drives without asking, brought techs out to look at the Miata.

By the plates, I will guess the Ford dealer was also in Kirkland?

A friend of mine has had decent experiences with the Issaquah dealer, but he bought Lincolns, so they might have been extra nice.

I’d bet the Ford and Chevy dealer are owned by the same person/ company.

Sounds about right. After a grueling buying process on my F150 some follow up marketing call I got asked about how my experience was. I unloaded on them. The floor manager was a snake and the salesman didn’t know shit. They said they would have to wholesale my A4 because they couldn’t likely sell it on the lot. A week later it was out front with a price a few thousand more than my trade in value. That being said, I’d still probably buy a Ford product these days over a GM product.

The Ford dealer was in Seattle. The largest dealer chain in the state, as they pointed out no less than 7 times within an hour.

Lee sJohnson Chevrolet in Kirkland is where I'm currently trying to haggle

Oh yeah, they have a rep due to that high volume, and I think their subprime business cau ses some of it.  Did you already try Issaquah/Bellevue/Kirkland?

Yep, that sounds about right. I got the “auction-special” sob story for my mint, low mileage Silverado from them too.

I figure for base model work trucks that will be traded in within 5 years all major makes should be about the same

They’re selling a base manual Colorado for $17k. I want it. Unfortunately we’re can’t buy a manual transmission for a work rig :(

I haven t bought anything at lee jo hnson but ive window shopped a few times and test drove a used V olt (with a brown paint job of all things!) . Seemed to play things straight and respectful.

From past experience Bill Pierre can suck a dick.

AFTER I’d already agreed to the purchase and started dealing with the finance department, my salesman came in to say I’m qualified for an additional $850 off if I’m a Costco member. All-around pleasant experience.

My Focus ST, Mustang, and both my Mother’s Explorer’s have been a great experience. The only shaky one was her Windstar, because my dad wouldn’t accept it without Goodyear tires.....(he worked for Goodyear).
