Wow, the X3 got bloated. It’s almost as big as an X5 now.

Looks like a Hyundai from the back.

All the X-cars have slowly turned into minivans. The floors are getting lower and I swear the roofs are getting higher.

Badge looked more like a 3, but I think you’re right.

I know this is the most cliche thing to say, but I swear to Dog I thought this was a Santa Fé and you were just being sarcastic. BMW needs to get their act together, fast.

Be glad you didn’t see the front.
Shame really, cause the rear looks pretty good IMO.

You and E92M3 just answered a question for me. I saw a black one this weekend in Munich, and besides the fact I saw a BMW logo I didn’t know what it was. As most Germans go, it was badge deleted as well. Not sure if it was pre production but it definitely had no camouflage or anything abnormal that would make it seem like it wasn’t just a new Beamer someone purchased. Mostly saw the rear but I can’t lie, I liked it. Could’ve been a special pre p reproduction tester but the wheels at least in the rear seemed wider than these and it sounded like it had a V8.

Not really sure what was going on here. Since I’m close to the factory that makes these, it could be an early pre-production model. Did the one you saw have tape over the BMW badge?
Saw your instagram story, looks like Germany was a lot of fun. You there for business or pleasure?

Pleasure, Went with my best friends to England to see some relatives and then moved on to Germany for sightseeing and October fest, with a spur of the moment (literally the night of) overnight stay/bender in Salzburg. It was a blast, every time I go to Germany it gets harder to leave.
And nope, for better or for worse the only way I could tell it was bmw was the fact that it was BMW roundeled. I don’t pay attention to their suvs normally anyway but the design language, although good, is a bit...generic. I didn’t know they were bringing a new one out, but like some of their other models I figured it was due for a new one soon.

That sounds like a great trip, I’ve been meaning to go back at some point.
Ah, well it seems like they’re letting journalists have them so who knows.

I mean it doesn’t even need camouflage , it just looks like any other boring crossover. You could tell me that’s a new Kia/Hyundai crossover and I would believe you. BMW’s designs nowadays somehow manage to be both boring *and* unattractive at the same time!
