1. Every Lincoln currently out there.
2. Every current Cadillac that doesn’t have an Escalade badge
3. Subaru’s
4. Any cheap everyday sedan
5. Any common Ford that doesn’t have navigation
6. ze German cars...
7. Cheap cars under $20k
I’ll be honest, never had so many issues trying to buy cheap cars until I added the word “wholesale” to any discussion. It’s legitimately easier to buy a 40-50k vehicle than a 20k camry

camry is the pinnacle of automotive engineering

Wait didn’t you just list all the cars?

Agreed.

Yes, my life isn’t easy due to that

Did it come pre-dented or did you have to add that yourself?

Could it be the very narrow margin on a less expensive car that makes dealers reluctant to let go of them, and they will be able to sell at their own lot easily for a couple thousand profit.

Just buy deleted diesel trucks for dirt
cheap, add emissions stuff back on so you can actually sell ‘em
and make yuuuuuge profits.

It’ s the Camry Solara. In my experience those are immune to the dent phenomenon. *knocks on wood*

I’m confused- what do you mean by “buy right?”

List is pretty much spot on. Saw an Audi A3 (2017!) that had a massive leak from the transmission and oil pan. Like how?

Thats exactly the problem, i just wish it wasnt a problem. I just dont see the sense of holding into 100+ day old inventory units, either way you’re taking a loss

I mean that I can make a buck on. I have margin guidelines that i follow for each car I buy wholesale. By “buy right”, i mean the price I agree on meets those margins. The list above is all cars that either depreciate faster than a bullet train or are always over priced and sit on lots with stubborn GMs

minutely slower*

When the tariffs
start to affect auto prices and an impreza goes from $24k to $28k I think the used car market is going to go from hot to frying hot. People might start
paying close to MSRP on 2-4 year old used foreign
cars. Ford really fucked up by dropping sedans and cheap cars from their line up.
