Here’s my bid. It’s a safe bid because Altho I can’t pay it, it’ll probably go higher.

And if u win just show up and leave with the cat without giving the money

I would feel like a biggest jackass if I bought it... and drove it...
since 1967 this thing drove a total of 14 miles. I would drive the living lights out of it.
It’s a good thing I don’t have 1967 Toyota 2000GT money! Someone is probably gonna stick it in climate controlled garage and wipe it with handkerchief every S unday afternoon. Odometer won’t change

RIP 2000GT. I would have this at C&C at least 2x a year and the rest spend driving back roads with an armored car in front of me.

You are actually very close to the highest price paid for one of these
https://www.autoblog.com/2013/05/10/1967-toyota-2000gt-most-expensive-asian-car-ever-sol/
They might hit your bid and laugh all the way to the bank!

I would buy it, but since Sean Connery couldn’t fit I wouldn’t either

From the listing:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
So it’s been driven some, who knows how much though. That is backed up by the statement in this document :

Bring a Trailer* *and a comprehensive team of service experts, and an insurance assessor, and eighteen separate
safety systems, and basically all the money.

That is the sexxx right there. I was at the Petersen recently, and they have *two* on display - including one of the two roadsters. I had forgotten just how beautiful the dashboard is on those cars...
![]() 10/01/2018 at 15:45 |

Checks out. They only have a 5 digit odometer.

It makes me sad I might never see one in person. Next time I see the FIL in Santa Monica, might have to make a quick trip for those cars alone.

I would venture a guess that the re d color, and precedence of a prior high price sale would help this one though.

I think I could fit but I’m probaly on teh bigger side. 5"11" 190lbs. Autozams are tight but Fiata, Honda N One, and 86 have been no problem .

And it’ll bring 2.5x retail.
![]() 10/01/2018 at 15:51 |

Maybe. I’m thinking between 800k and 1.1m which is about market. It’s hard to go way 2x market on something already so expensive. On an Integra Type R though.. Easy.

98,000 miles?! wow! This car is in pretty damn good condition for 98014 miles
![]() 10/01/2018 at 15:53 |
|
considering that this car actually has 98014 miles, i think your 1 million bid is safe now
![]() 10/01/2018 at 15:54 |

That was hyperbole, but I could see it at retail + 30-50%
BaT is stupid money land lately, with a number of cars hitting the stratosphere (80K for an original Mini, 40K+ for a 70s Torino wagon). BaT is bringing up a new speculative movement akin to the late 80s, but often for much less expensive cars. The new Belle Epoque in action.

Check their exhibits first - they have a huge collection, and also borrow cars from others . Because of this, they rotate what’s actually on display.
I believe they’re both still on display now (the roadster is on the top floor, the coupe is on the main floor (?) as part of “The Roots of Monozukuri: Creative Spirit in Japanese Automaking”. But maybe not for long.
I’m sure there are other museums displaying them - I’ve seen at least 1 other, when Toyota brought one to the Chicago Auto Show a few years ago.

I really want to make a trip to Japan which would be a good opportunity but the wife is worried about what she would eat and has shot it down(not that we could afford it yet anyways)

Partial restoration in 2006.

Wow, eating in Japan would be the thing I’d be looking forward to most, personally!

I’m 6'3" and just under 3 bills so I’m pretty sure it’s a no-go for my fat ass. Add in the fact that I’m proportioned with a long torso and short legs and you’d get one hilarious video of me trying to get in to that car.

I would be excited too. I think I just have to convince her it’s not a ll raw octopus lol.

lol there’s a lot more than that there - and I’m sure you could eat at McD’s if you had to :)

I haven’t pushed it too far but we will see. I think shes secretly creeped out that she’ll finally be normal height(5'2")

Wow some one used it!
