“Yep!”
“Are you sure it’s going to fit?”
“I think so.”

Yep, that’s the ultimate test of whether you’re really a midsize sedan. It should fit in the back with the trunk closed and the driver’s seat not moved too uncomfortably forward. I learned this trick in college with a ‘98 Passat which is very nearly compact by today’s standards.
The wagon version can handle four mattresses, or two plus a box spring.
But we all knew wagons were four times better than sedans.

I didn’t have to move the driver’s seat at all, but we’re short people.

That would really make me wish I had a Wagon. Yeah t fits , but you can’t lay on it with all that car in the way

I did something similar... but with a double mattress shoved into the Focus wagon...

I got a queen folded lengthwise and tied in my 2006 crv. Door shut, I was amazed.

My Casper queen size mattress came rolled up in a box that would probably fit in any compact sedan or hatchback. Good quality too. Very few hotel beds I have slept on are as comfortable.
