I’ve been getting the annoying “Congratulations you’ve won!!!!” And the “your device is infected” redirects when visiting certain sites (not adult sites...) And it’s pissing me off. So, I downloaded a few virus checkers. Device is clean. I went looking for a good adblocker, and found Firefox Focus. It’s ridiculously quick, ridiculously clean, and has a suite of built in security features and adblockers. It also logs the amount of trackers per page.

Apparently Oppo has 10 different trackers. Jalopnik had 12. Interesting...

I’ve been using it for a bit as well. I like it, but I wish they would add bookmarks

According to Ghostery, Oppo has 22 trackers, at least on the desktop site.

What’s the difference between Focus and Firefox with an ad blocker add-on? Is there a huge speed differential?

That’s one issue with using Focus: you can’t log into any site with it, well, you can, but you’re logged out each time you quit.

Ugh I’ve been getting those damn redirects all the time when looking for guitar tabs recently. Thanks for the hint.
