It’s smooth as a rat’s belly. Almost a little too smooth, I kind of like the burn of vodka. Feels clean and sanitary.

That and Reyka are my go-to unflavored vodkas. Whatever is cheaper at the time. Most of the nice cocktail bars around here prefer Tito’s over anything else for what it’s worth

“Handmade” and “microdistillery” are LIES. The place is HUGE and it pretty much needs to be for the volume they ship every year.

The grain neutral spirit arrives in MULTIPLE semi tankers a week. I don’t know for sure because they don’t give tours, but I’m pretty sure all they do at the distillery is mix it with Austin water and redistill it, then throw it in a bottle.

They are close to COTA!

I used to pick Chopin, but I don’t really drink much of anything anymore.

They are indeed. I can see them from the timekeeping room.

Please feel free to send me a bottle

I’ve had this once and it was awful. Like the worst vodka I’ve ever had. Maybe it was a bad batch or something.

yes indeed - we blew through a big bottle of that making bloodymarrys for xmas brunch. Good stuff.

Me too, but not allowed to have it anymore. Just wine. And the occasional beer.

Don’t know about the vodka, but they gave us a free dog toy that Sophie likes so I approve.

I hope they have an ultra local contract!

Tito’s is a venue sponsor at COTA. There’s plenty of Tito’s branded stuff all over the place.

It’s actually too smooth, I think. Russian Standard is my fave.

Reyka is the only vodka that comes into my house anymore. I’m more of a fan of whiskey. - specifically bourbon. But reyka is delish.

I agree that Reyka is likely the best you can find anywhere....this stuff I found recently and adore in Moscow Mules

Don’t feel bad if you don’t get it. I just play too much rainbow six siege.

Tito’s is quite good. Also check out Pinckney Bend, which is a smaller distillery based out of Missouri. 360 isn’t too shabby bit is definitely more mass-market focused.
Beyond that, I’ve found Pravda to be delightful (I believe it’s made from potatoes, which makes for the best vodkas, IMHO). Stoli is reliable, and it’s hard to find a mid-priced Russian vodka that’s unlikeable.
Pearl, Smirnoff, Pinnacle, etc.: Meh.
Grey Goose is a waste.

I don’t mind Tito’s, but Belvedere is the vodka of choice in our household.

You want smooth, there’s also this:
Holy shit this stuff is smooth.

Been drinking it for years....corn and pot-still copper tanks gives it that taste.
Chopin Potato is my other go-to on the rocks.

He’s been getting sued for that advertising for the last few years. At one point it was small batch....hasn’t been that way for a long time.
