This, it is genius.
But seriously? How many votes would she get?
Unfortunately she’d probably lose too many because people would automatically assume it’ll hurt the domestic car industry.

Average Joe doesn’t want to drive a manual. Doesn’t want to wrench... or even change own tire. My guess is this is an issue for just us car people.... all like 43 of us.

Yeah it likely wouldn’t be statistically relevant. Therefore the rule will never change.

On topic actually:
According to sources on both sides, a top priority for the U.S. is to maintain a tariff of 25 percent on imports of Korean pickup trucks and vans, which the existing deal would phase out from 2019.
Thanks Trump

yup. unfortunately. It’s also such a small issue that it wouldn’t hurt much to lift the 25yr ban or at least match canada at 15. But it’s also such a small issue that no politician will care to take it on.

Sometimes I listen to the news about laws passed by local politicians... Blows my mind.
Chris Christie (I Think) just made a law that businesses now cannot discriminate against breast feeding and provide an isolated area where it can be done. I had no idea this was such a big issue.
Also, mayor of town I used to live in, made illegal possession of machete. The town I lived it had a lot of south americans and they use them mostly for chopping trees down. I don’t know why, but they did... and owning machetes was made illegal. How big of an issue was it? No clue.
So we still have a shot. Maybe trump will get it done before oprah.

Hyundai new the truck tariff from South Korea was expiring next year so they showed that concept at Detroit last year. Now the U.S. wants to keep the tariff in a new trade deal. Womp womp, no truck for you.
