I caught him by tossing a bandanna in the air. Poor little guy wouldn’t fly away when I tried to release him outside, it was so cold. Now I’m playing phone tag with different places locally to figure out what to do with him.

I could be wrong but if you let him bite you you’ll become Batman. Or maybe it’s rabies. Either way that’s a decent 50/50 shot to become Batman.

The Spider-Man logic is definitely worth a shot.

He’s a cute little guy, but that would freak me out. How did he get in?

just a shame that most of the bats we have on this side of the world are goofy looking to downright hideous. why can’t we have flying foxes too?
not quite squee, but not freakish either.

I’m pretty sure he came down through the hood vent in the kitchen. It’s been missing a cover in the hood for a while.

Most of those guys hibernate during the cold season as they mostly eat insects. Do you have cold time there?

When you bring him somewhere in your car, your car will become the batmobile

Number one cause of rabies in humans (almost always fatal) is bats. Get that thing out of there.

Does he have a white fungus on his nose? There is a fungus that causes the bats to wake out of winter hibernation and they unfortunately die because there is nothing for them to eat. It’s wiping out thousands of them. It’s really sad. : (

We had one that got into the house a few years back. It was stupid cold then (like now), so we let him hang out in the hall for a few days until it warmed up outside. He’d fly around a bit from time to time, but he was petty mellow overall. Never freaked out about being trapped in the house or us being around. We named him Peanut Batter

Please tell me this was the funeral home because “we had a little bat friend” is so accidentally goth that I can’t even.

I mean, rabies? Rabies.
Not sure which is worse: rabies, or finding out that Bat Prince Charming is kind of a butthole.

That’s a very good case for consulting the animal control folks. (Which is what I’d recommend, TBH.)
