Funny thing about the XJ-S. You see it in pictures and imagine an enormous luxury coupe that’s like an S-class Mercedes with two doors. What you get is a 2+2 Miata with an unreasonably large interior for its size. It makes an S550 Mustang look like an SUV, despite being the same length.

Probably the best thing about old Jags is how low they are. I drove a 92 Xj once and couldn’t believe how hard it was to get into, and how low it was to sit in. It made my 97 Accord feel tall.
