Got the sides cut out and put on, started the first few layers of bondo. That’s about it until I get another tub of filler and spend hours toiling away with sandpaper.

i like using metal files to get it all roughed in. if i can find one laying around, i like (depending on the fender shape) a flat single cut bastard, or a semi rounded single cut bastard, or even a good curve cut vixen.

but they are the ones that are 2nd and 3rd from right in the bottom picture in terms of the way the cut looks. takes a ton of bondo material off the metal in a hurry. when they get clogged up i just use a wire brush to clear the grooves.......

thats some nice progress.......
