I got to play in the sim somewhere in CA, can’t remember what NAS is was. He also took me out to some base and they had a Hind and other foreign aircraft. His friend was a big shot and hadn’t left the military when we went to visit him when I was a kid. My dad used to have a twin engine Cessna and a Stearman biplane trainer. I can fly one, he would let me mess around, but I have never taken off or landed. I was supposed to fly in the Marines but they had no slots when I finished OCS despite having a guaranteed flight contract. So then I was flight navigation, then that was also closed and then I went to intel, then DIA. Not what I planned.
