Just say no to green mush. I prefer hummus.

Fact: the only time I enjoy avocados is when it’s prepared as a spicy guac, as a sweet beverage (boba), or as ice cream. I find avocados by itself to be disgusting.

It’s pretty easy. Take avocados and turn them into mush, then add other things. I made some this afternoon, two avocados, about 1/4 of a red onion, diced, three cloves of garlic, minced, tbsp lime juice, touch of cumin and chili powder. Sometimes I’ll add sliced black olives. I was going to put mango in this one but forgot. You’re supposed to add salt, but I don’t bother because there’s usually more than enough salt on the chips.

You’ve probably just never had good guacamole. I mean, I imagine it’s rather hard to find any good Mexican food in the Midwest. My guacamole has quite literally converted avowed guacamole haters before.

I also will often add jalapeño or some other pepper if I have on hand, or hot sauce. I diced a habanero once and put it in, but that was a little much for about a cup of dip. The thing I struggle most against is tossing the pit instead of trying to grow it. I’ve already got several avocado plants in various stages around the house, but I MUST HAVE MORE!!!!

I love avocados in all forms. I find it hard to NOT eat it plain while I’m making guacamole because I just love it so much. Heh.

I can be swayed, but I’m not a massive fan of avocados in general. They’re okay, but not my favorite.
