I’m not including engine/trans upgrades, strictly exterior/interior/electronic options. I’ll start with a popular one here: Recaro seats in a Fiesta.
Base Price: $20,345
Option Price: $1,995
Percentage of Base Price: 9.8%

That’s pretty ridiculous.

It’s also not really an option. Just felt like making fun of my former car, though mine was a BRZ.

I know you aren’t including engines, but...
RAM 2500 - base price with 5.7L V8: $31,780
Cummins I6 Diesel Option: $8995
Percentage of base price: 28.3%
(With current incentives, base price is $26,975 and the cheapest with the diesel is $37,470 making the option a whopping 38.9% of the base price!)

Mini Cooper 2 door hardtop
Base Price - $20,950
JCW Appearance Package - $3,250
Price increase: 15.5%
Not sure if it counts but the fully loaded package is $5,500 and increases the price by 26%.

And it’s still worth every penny. Also he said he wasn’t including power train options.

$6k for a supercharger is a little high, but in the ballpark.

adding 2 extra doors on an XL super duty is a little over 11% of the cost of the vehicle - if that counts.
Base single cab 6' bed f250 $32,535
add two extra doors $36,130
11.05%
however a couple more feet in the bed is very affordable -takes the crew cab to $36,330 or a .005% increase

2-series in Canada.
Base Price: $36700
The Executive Package which includes Lumbar Support, HomeLink, Upgraded Audio and ComfortAccess, for $2500. Not so bad.
EXCEPT...
In order for you to be ABLE to add this, the Premium package is REQUIRED, which adds another $2500 or $4300.
13%+ right there. about as much as what our governments robs us.
And just to make matters worse, those two packages are just adding stuff that are pretty much standard on the updated 3-series. So you’re just bringing the price up there.

No drivetrain upgrades.

Yeah I saw that and edited the reply. Coffee hasn’t kicked in yet I guess. And yes - you actually keep all that value in resale.

2004 Mercedes S600

That’s pretty much the going price for an 86 SC. There are a few cheaper ones, but most are pegged at 6.

F Type S Coupe base: $80,600
Carbon Ceramic brakes: $14,450

This is also true. Although last I checked only Ram will give you a manual trans.

Yep they’re the last full-size/HD that will. On the small trucks Chevy/GMC will do it with the 4 cylinder and Toyota/Nissan offer on both the I4 and V6.

Also if you’ve never driven a Cummins/6MT Ram try to find the opportunity. It’s loads of fun... So much torque you can just let the clutch out in 2nd gear and it will hook up (with no extra weight in the bed or on tow of course.)

Not sure if this counts, but the 918 Spyder’s options list included a special edition 911 Turbo S to tide customers over until Porsche finished developing the 918.
Behold the Porsche 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder Cabriolet!!!
$172,100 (Turbo S) / $845,000 (918 Spyder) = 20.4%

I think this is the winner, it’s not the most expensive option, but it’s percentage wise I think the most.
