What’s for supper, Oppo?

um, I would eat the hell out of your shrimp and grits.
me? I made a couple of center-cut pork chops which I held sous vide at 139° for 2 hours, then finished off on the grille. medium-rare pork is great, especially when you don’t have to worry about anything.

These were good, but not the best that I’ve had. Lucky for me South Carolina makes up for it’s shit mustard barbecue by having shrimp and grits all over the place.

Tonight I just had a chicken salad sandwich. But a few days ago when my mom came to visit we went to a place called the Flying Mango. She got Shrimp & Grits and they looked sublime.

Had the best Mexican food in Myrtle.
Shrimp and grits is dank, especially in Chucktown.

Wasn’t really tangy, more salty and seafoody and comforting.

I cheated. I bought this(that’s a lie, my employer did). SC has plenty of places to get it.

Mmmmmmm Mexican food. What are some good seafood restaurants along the coast? The best I’ve found so far has been in Florence of all places, but Tubb’s is no joke.

I love seafood but I’m not very adventurous with trying new fish but shrimps are sooooo good.

Fish is kind of hit or miss for me, but if it is looking at me, I’m not eating it.

I’m almost entirely a cod, haddock, hake, pollock, prawn and salmon person.

Other than 2nd Ave Pier in myrtle, I think my favorite spot is the fish house in oak island.

I should add that it seems like everything seafood related here is a buffet. I’m just not big on buffets. Fish house in OKI, NC is where it’s at.

Ah. You should check out Tubb’s in Florence, it’s incredible.

I love shrimp and grits. But they have to use the right type of grits. Alligator Soul in Savannah has amazing shrimp and grits. In Miami it fucking sucks everywhere....

Turtle Island is a pretty good joint. Check out fish house next time you’re there.
