The Cruze’s powertrain warranty expired on 9-05-16.
Good times.
Ordered the clutch/slave. Found a decent labor rate. Worth the time/hassle than buying a hoist and doing it myself.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDGE!
No goodwill repair since you were so close?

None offered. I’ll call another dealer, but I really dont expect anything. Since the SS is up, I can shop for a bit and return the parts if GM smiles upon me.

Did you buy the car new?
Edit-Also, try calling corporate and complain politely but bitterly about it. That helps a lot more then complaining to a dealer, at least at the FCA dealer I worked at.

You’re just over 2 weeks out, they should still cover you though the service write may have to request an exception from corporate. Though most companies consider the clutch a wear item, so may not be covered anyway.

The slave cylinder is not a wear item. The friction disc is fine (for now, obviously not fully disengaging will kill it soon enough)

That's the better idea.

Try calling the zone manager for GM/Chevy. They’re the ones who will have to authorize it. Can’t hurt to try! Just be nice :)

Damn. Back in college Honda extended my warranty on my cat and 02 sensors even though I was 3k miles past.

Whatareyagonnado? They technically don't owe me anything, sure would have been nice though.

They save a few bucks today at the cost of losing a future vehicle purchase in the future.

New GM everyone!
