I’m ramping up my weight loss. I started last Saturday, lost 9 pounds so far. Hell yeah! I’m going to spend a decent part of the weekend playing the Horizon 3 Demo, making myself a pre-order for said game, and maybe collecting some hours in Fallout 4 Nuka World. All in all, relaxing weekend.
Meanwhile, I’m now receiving a slew of death threats from Breitbart users. Good times, good times. :)
Alrighty cat guys and gals, what’s going to get your motor runnin’ this weekend? :D

Tonight I hope to drink some beers and maybe change the front brakes on my wife’s Kia Soul. Tomorrow my son has a soccer game and then we are continuing our ABC’s of Maine and going to the letter R which will be Richmond Maine. Gonna explore the town take some pictures and eat some food. Sunday my daughter is singing in a choir performance.

Go-karting with friends tonight, running tomorrow morning, and then a whole lot of nothing.

My wife and I have a running tradition of watching all of the Harry Potter movies each fall so we’re going to watch the first one tonight. I’m also going to try to squeeze in some Nuka World. I’ve played a few hours of it so far and I really like it.

Breitbart users sending death threats to people that aren’t white, straight, Christian, conservative, cis men? I don’t believe it...

The funny part was that I made the most harmless comment ever. I was telling a commenter (some woman with the cajones to argue with the site’s readers) how awesome she was. lol
Jeez, I certainly shorted out someone’s circuits lol

Removing the rear interior of the rallycrosser because I hate my ears.

Need to sort out my coolant issue with the Solstice... after my sloppy coolant change a week ago. Bravo GM for making an uber-complex refill process.

I do have to say, it is a rather gorgeous car you have there. :D Especially those neon coloured wheels!

Stuff I need to do:
Finish stripping paint and rust removal on some sheet metal
Change generator fuel, winterize pressure washer, tune up leaf blower. Maybe a mow, but it’s been dry so I hope not.
Gym for overhead press day
Stuff I want to do:
Get a growler fill of Marzen/Oktoberfest beer
Start searching for a Passat replacement
Chili in the crock pot or brisket on the smoker

Carb tuning on the dirtbike, then braaaap
Get all the water/kerosene oil out of the three wheeler, then more braaap
Hopefully change out the front suspension/steering on the truck (except for lower control arm bushings because the damn torsion bar is rusted in place).
If I get particularly ambitious (doubtful) fix the large exhaust hole on the 924 and adjust the rear drums so my E-brake actually holds the car.
So long as the weather holds up take a good hour and a half (one way) bike ride down to The River* to see a friend I haven’t seen in a while, with another bike riding buddy.
*When you’re from South Dakota, there is only one river, the Missouri.

Wishing I had an XB1 again so I could get in on the Horizon fun. Can;t believe they consider an HSV Maloo a fucking starter car. Any other game you wouldn’t even know it exists until halfway through.

Congrats on the weight loss. I am down ~45lbs since April. I weigh under 200 for the first time in 16 years. I’m not stopping yet, I want to get down to 175. Keep it up

I’m going to ride a mountain bike that is worth more than my car.

I’m currently drinking this (Tequila based cinnamon liquor) with a couple beers to wash it down while I design the meanest possible seating arrangement for a class of 6th graders that chewed me up and spat me out this week. Boy-girl-boy-girl-boy-girl.... The less they have in common, the better.
I’ll probably hit the pillows soon if I continue at this rate, so a fish sandwich from the harbour for breakfast and a quick dip at the beach seem reasonable before the weekend chores (clean car, clean appartment, laundry, shopping).
Sunday will be F1 in the background while I plan lessons and a parent-teacher-conference for Monday.
Booooooring!

Might be looking at a corvette, its old and has a lot of miles but looks to be in good condition and it’s cheap enough that even if it’s a complete pile it should be fun.

I dream of owning a Corvette one day. Yellow, metallic blue, or red, definitely a Zo6 or a Zr1...but if I had to get less than such, a convertible.

I've been re-reading the books but I never saw all of the movies so I'm watching them this time around too. My sister and I are going to Universal to see the Wizarding World and I'm pretty excited.

What is this mythical “weekend” you speak of?
![]() 09/16/2016 at 16:45 |

Universal is on our bucket list, but we’ll probably wait until the kids are a bit older so they can enjoy it as well.

About to crash a TDI get together in my Prius. (Actually, considering I’m the one that posts the get togethers up, is it really crashing it?) Trying to get this tank up to 60 mpg average on the way there and back, I’m at 525.5 mi and 59.1 mpg, and I’ve got about 68 miles to drive... which means I need burn almost exactly 1 gallon or less. I’m feeling good about it, though, got a route that should minimize my fuel consumption.
Then, for the rest of the weekend... probably screwing around in Project CARS and/or Assetto Corsa, playing with ProDOS 2.4 on my Apple //c, probably some other retrocomputing stuff, clean my apartment, that kind of thing.

I shall be hanging drywall. One of my friends’ house is finally dry enough to start repairs. We spent a couple of hours this afternoon working on it and finished out two rooms. Now we have the master bedroom, the master bath, both master closets, the living room, the kitchen, and the den to go. I’m hoping a few more guys show up tomorrow to lend a hand.
Here’s what his street looked like today. It’s been 36 days since the flood started. There are still flooded areas and homes with water in them. They are picking up debris as fast as they can, but there aren’t enough trucks and aren’t enough employees to get it all done in a timely manner. Many of the people who would do the work are busy trying to deal with their own flooded homes. Eventually, they will get enough contractors in here to finish the cleanup and rebuild the homes.
Sorry for the rant. The situation is bad and recovery is going slowly.
