You can get a corvette engined RWD sport sedan for less than the cost of a nissan sentra.
The one pictured is $15k with 50k miles. 75k ones are listed under $11k

The wheels alone are worth the price of admission.

I wonder how hard it would be to turn one into a Grange.

It's pretty early in the morning to be Tavarish'd, but I'll allow it.

There is one major flaw with buying a former police vehicle, or a vehicle that resembles one. No one will ever drive over 55 mph in front of you. I own a black Charger and can tell you this is true.
However, you can usually get people to move over with a quick flash of the headlights.

I’m waiting for the 2014s to hit the market. I need that pseudo-column shift they added for 2014 in order to make it a proper Caprice Brougham.

And, unlike the ones normally suggested in these types of posts, this one won’t break all the time.

It is a L76 engine, so technically no. But if you swap the heads and delete the DOD then basically yes.

If I had to get a 4 door family sedan this would be on my list. Especially the cruiser model with stain proof rear seat and floor mat.
