So I’ve got this Dune edition Beetle for a week. Fun car if just for the nostalgia factor ( let’s face it, 170hp is not gonna tickle anyone’s pickle here.. ) but that color’s gotta go. Sandstorm Yellow looks okay in direct sunlight, but on cloudy days reminds me of what I used to clean out of my kids’ diapers. Oh yeah, it’s only available with the 6-speed autobox.

I have a ‘16 Jetta 1.8t with the 5 speed manual.

Didn’t know you could get a dune convertible!

I saw a hardtop version the other day and I thought it looked amazing.

Convertible is even cooler. I’d love one if I could make it faster

It surprises me that in Mexico the Dune is offered with the 2.0 from the GTI performance pack with DSG. MUCH more interesting combo.

This would be soooo much better with the Golf R drivetrain, another inch or two of lift, and some BFG all-terrain tires.

Yeah, the extra 50hp and DSG would make a huge difference. Curious that they went with the relatively lame 170hp 1.8T with automatic as the only powertrain.
