Yes, a new Tall Mazda3 looks to be testing in nothing but camouflage. Looks like the real deal, and not a test mule. As far as tall Japanese hatch backs go, it looks snazzy.

So something between a CX-3 and CX-5? So can we just assume it’s a US market CX-4?

I thought the next generation CX-5 was landing in 2018, with the 2016.5 refresh happening instead of a 2017.

I was just being silly. Its the new CX5. The CX5s have been based off the Mazda 3 architecture.

This could be ‘18, although with progress this far already, I’d say its safe to assume it’ll be a 17 release.

Lulz true. Those were fun. I’ve found solice in their slightly similar reincarnation as the ford transit connect.

I don’t doubt it will come out “early” as the 16.5 came out this summer and most of the 16s are gone. I’m debating a 16.5 vs a 14 off lease this fall to replace my TDI. According to my friendly local Mazda dealer they sell most of their suvs in the fall so I can expect decent selection on both fronts.

I probably should have clicked the link first. Though I think there could be room for something between the two! The CX-5 is a bit bigger and the CX-3 is stupidly small.

Even hidden under the camo this looks like a big improvement over the previous gen, which I honestly wasn’t too big a fan of.
