I spend so much time checking out travelling websites that I tend to forget how beautiful it is around here.

Beauty is all around us, if we just care to look! What part of the country?

Do you see all those cars with yellow* number plates (front and back) towing a caravan coming your way during summer? It’s not because it it’s nicer 500 hundred km up north, north-west west.
* To be fair, I see more with white plates and a D underneath the Euro flag, but let’s keep our predjudices intact.

The Dutch are a calm nomadic people, I see many Dutch families pulling small white houses behind their cars. They cross the channel in search of the light rolling hills of south east England. We welcome them, despite what a certain vote said recently.

That is so true, I’ve seen so many NL vehicles driving around the Yorkshire area recently.

Off-topic a bit, but I’m going to be in Amsterdam for a week next month. Any car-related things to check out in the Netherlands while we're there? It's for work meetings, so I'll probably be stuck in the Amaterdam area, but I might be able to get away one of the days.

Well, you could do what
we did
during a meet-up. The Louwman museum is absolutely great.

That does look pretty awesome. Would you recommend taking a train or renting a car?

If there’s one place where you can use public transportation, it’s here. However, it does depend on what you’re planning to do. I lived without a car until age 27, but now at 33 I hardly ever use public transportation.
Here’s a Dutch public transportation planning website, door to door, showing you how much time a specific trip would take. In English.

The dutch have always been travelers, they just replaced their ships with caravans. (same thing for the Germans, at least their more recent invasions of France are more of the touristic kind, which is better for the people, and the economy)

Now in 3D and augmented reality!

It is! There are actually so much places to visit all around, but local tourism is never exotic enough I guess.

Looks like that around here too. Many vineyards, and once a year, flying cars (from 2010 to 2014 at least)

We’re surrounded by vineyards, just too bad there are no rallies around here like in the Mosel region of Germany. The roads/paths would be probably a bit too narrow though.
