More of a heavy petting SUV

No, another concept that will never see production.

But the name sounds like Escalade. Minus 2 letters.

probably like the replacement for the SRX

Just saw it on Instagram and thought the same. Sigh. It’ll probably be built, unlike the other gorgeous concept cars of the last years. Cadillac should take a close look at what Lexus did with the LC 500 and just do the same.

It’s Cadillac at Pebble Beach, it’s what they do. Plus, it’s not their new naming structure.

This is the new SRX.
XT5

You mean the xt5?
I hope it's a serious luxury crossover. Have huge reclining rear seats. Like an elegant alternative to the escalade.

Is the standard to use recycled Chevy parts? Because that is a shitty standard.

My guess is it’s a mid-sized SUV based off the GMC Acadia, with the 3.0TT and AWD.
And if I'm right, that car would rock. #dadlife

That thing is utterly hideous. I hope they don’t sell well.

So Escalade to Escala, huh. Reminds me of how Mercedes said that their badges will no longer match engine displacement because customers would assume that any car with a number less than 63/65 would be worse than its predecessor. Anyway I’m hope that Cadillac buyers aren’t this dim.

Some are even worse than that.

They actually sell pretty well

This was quite a large oversight in the model names of a lot of manufacturers. There was a time when displacement was directly related to how premium a car was, but that time is gone.
Marketers tend to fuck this stuff up fairly often. Xbox One is a prime example of this.
