Check out that sick ‘05 Tacoma with the 2TR & 5-spd...behind the C4. Yep...that’s right...it’s my whip.
Credit to TheJWT for the photo from last weekend’s NE Ohio C&C.
I was parked in the spectator area...but pretty soon I was surrounded by slick rides. Pretty sure my beater truck ended up in a number of cool-car pictures.

Important: Does that Dick’s have an escalator?

I’m not entirely sure, never been inside that store. I have been in a different one on the opposite side of the city that did have one.
I don’t think this comment helps. Sorry to disappoint.

I thought the title was a really bad Univision joke.

My experience is that Dick’s that used to be Galyan’s locations usually have escalators because a lot of Galyan’s had giant climbing walls inside and were two stories. Most pure Dick's I see are a lot shorter (hold on, wait a sec...)

El_Uly says every day is Taco Tuesday now...so...(shrugging emoji-thing).

I didn’t know where you parked. Sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye before everyone bailed. Maybe we can meet for lunch someday at the Taco Bell. For real, not a bad joke.

Identical to the Tacoma I just got out of. This one just has 291k miles.

Taco’s got to represent!

No worries! I was across the aisle from you, two spots over. TheJWT and I were walking around together.

The one pictured only has ~109K. I’d like to still have it at the 291k point though, but at the rate I drive it, that’s probably going to be a while. I’ve had it since March 2014, and only have put 12K on it.

Dicks

The one I spoke of is a fleet truck. They’ve kept it around this long because it hasn’t broken.

Oh wow, the Dick’s near me must’ve been a Galyan’s. According to a Google Search, I was only a wee-lad when they disappeared, so I never saw the store as a Galyan’s. Never knew that company existed; thank you.

We only had ours for a year...it was easily the best mainstream sporting good store anywhere. But maybe I’m biased because they carried lots of climbing gear, which hardly anybody does (except REI, which are few and far between, and require a membership)

REI is rare? There’s one near the Dick’s I’ve been to, too. (An extremely crowded shopping area spanning several miles with many car dealerships, a Costco on a hill, and a bunch of snooty white people).

I'd say so. Seems like REI only locates a couple stores in each of the top 20 metro areas, plus a few others scattered randomly around, but they're generally very concentrated in large cities. We have three Dicks, but the nearest REI is 3 hours away. In that same 3-hour radius, I also have 14+ Dick's. Totally different business model, though.

Every day is Taco day. Every. Single. Day.

As it should be.
